ClearyDoyle Annual Company Hike  in Glendalough in 2025

On Friday 01 August, our team came together once again for our much-anticipated annual company hike in Glendalough. Over the years, this event has gone from strength to strength, becoming a highlight in our calendar – a day where we challenge ourselves, support one another, and celebrate the strength of our team spirit.

Glendalough trail

This year’s hike was no exception. Spanning almost five hours across the rugged and beautiful trails of Glendalough, the journey was as much a mental battle as it was a physical one. The tough conditions reminded us that resilience, determination, and teamwork are just as important on the mountainside as they are in the work we do every day.

What stood out most was the camaraderie – every step was taken together, with encouragement, good humour, and the shared goal of reaching the finish line as one team. It was a powerful reminder of what makes our company culture so strong: we support each other, we push through challenges, and we celebrate our achievements together.

Avondale Tree Tops

In addition to the main hike, some of our staff members also enjoyed an outing at the beautiful Avondale Tree Tops in Rathdrum, taking in the stunning scenery and unique perspective of the Wicklow landscape from above the treetops. This provided a wonderful alternative for those looking for a different kind of adventure and added another memorable dimension to the day.

Building memories together

After the climb, we rounded off the day with a well-deserved meal and refreshments at the Glenmalure Lodge, where we reflected on the day’s efforts and enjoyed each other’s company in a more relaxed setting.

We are proud of what this event has grown into, and we look forward to many more years of hiking, bonding, and building memories together. Here’s to the next challenge, and to continuing to grow stronger as a team – both on and off the trail.
